Congratulations to the Lowell High School Band, the 2017 OSAA 2A/1A Band State Champions! The State Finals, held at Oregon State University on May 12, featured the top eight finalists from across the state. In a division long-dominated by private and larger schools, Lowell High School became the first public 1A-sized group to take top honors in the event’s history. Lowell High School also managed to achieve one of the highest scores for all divisions in Oregon – bested only by a handful of 6A schools and the 5A champion.
