Smokey Bear stopped by Lundy’s first grade classroom today and talked with students about the importance of making sure your fire is out and being safe with fire while camping and using our forests. Fourth grade students got to see hands on tools and equipment for putting out fires and learned about what it takes to make a fire, how it is sustained and how to make sure it is out. Thank you to our local Forest Service for imparting such an important message to our youth and community.
