Student Leaders attend OASC Fall Conference

Lowell had the opportunity to attend the sold out OASC (Oregon Association of Student Councils) Fall Conference in Seaside, OR.  We have tried several years to get to this conference but registration sells out in one day!  This year Lowell made it in, beating out over 100 other schools!

Eight of our high school students attended this event.  There were 105 schools represented with over 1500 students being in attendance.  During the two day event students were able to work with other student leaders from around the state to learn how to increase student pride in schools, lead events for major charities such as March of Dimes, Special Olympics, and many more organizations.  They also had time to network with students from schools that are both near and far.  It was great to watch our students build their connections as they interacted during the workshops.

Of course we took a moment to appreciate the chance of being in Seaside with beautiful weather.  I am proud to work with these students each and every day and I know that they are going to help make a difference in not only our school but our community as well!  Go Lowell!
