We would like to thank Northwest Farm Credit Services for their generous grant award. The grant funds will help Lowell School District to fund our greenhouse project. The greenhouse is where we will teach students, hands on, how to plant, care for, and harvest fresh local produce. The funds will also help us to establish the culinary aspect of the program where the produce that is grown, by the students, will be used as ingredients in our school meal program.
We would like to thank Mr. Craig Christopherson, our local Eugene branch manager, for his support and encouragement. We would also like to thank Sheri Francalancia and Jared Albee. We are very grateful and excited about this grant award and look forward to seeing the fruits, (and vegetables) of its application in our district.
