Superintendent Announcement

The Lowell School Board of Directors would like to welcome Scott Yakovich as the new Lowell School District Superintendent. Mr. Yakovich comes to Lowell with a wide range of experience, education, and skills, including a short tenure at Lowell. Mr. Yakovich first began his educational career in Washington where he completed his undergraduate degree at Evergreen State College. He went on to earn his teaching certification at Eastern Washington University and later received his master’s in educational administration at Concordia University. Mr. Yakovich began his teaching career in Washington and later moved to Eugene in 2004. He has taught English, social studies, PE and, alternative and special education. As an administrator and principal, he has also taken on the roles of Athletic Director, District Testing Coordinator, and Special Education Director. Mr. Yakovich has also been active in his community through coaching sports from middle school through varsity levels and OSAA Delegate Assembly Representative.

Mr. Yakovich is supported by his lovely wife Renee, and two sons, Nick and Ryan, who are currently attending Oregon State University and University of Oregon.
