Hello Lowell Families and Community,
Happy New Year! We are so happy to have our students back! Time to focus on healthy habits to combat colds and other illnesses. Also, it is time to commit to safety as inclement weather hits our area. Follow our Facebook page and our website as well as local news outlets for information regarding school closures due to weather.
Lundy is having a Coin Drive during the month of January! Each class is encouraged to collect as many coins as they can and put them in their special coin jar in their classrooms. The top two earning classrooms will win a classroom party of their choice. Be sure to send in all that change floating around!
Only a few more weeks until the next round of Self-Manager applications go out. Be sure to talk to your child about ways to earn their badge!
We are nearing the end of Quarter 2/Semester 1, so a reminder to families about our after-school tutoring opportunities at Lowell Jr/Sr High. Tutoring is available one hour after school each week as follows:
• Monday: Math
• Tuesday: English
• Wednesday: Science
• Thursday: Social Studies
This is a great opportunity for students who need extra support, want one-on-one time with their teacher, or need help getting caught up before the semester ends.
Junior high boys’ basketball began practices this week. There are many opportunities to see our Red Devils athletes in action. Check the Athletics tab on the website to stay up to date on the scheduled games and matches coming up.
We are also approaching an important academic milestone with senior projects. Seniors are wrapping up final details and practicing their presentations. We are looking forward to seeing their work and learning more about the career paths they have to explore.
January 8, 2026, Lowell School District and the community honored Jerry Dilley with dedication of the Lowell Wrestling Room. We are grateful to Mr. Dilley and all that he has done for our students, athletes and the community of Lowell.
