Hello Lowell Families and Community,
As we navigate through the winter season, there has been a marked increase in illness among our students and staff. To keep our school community healthy and our classrooms running smoothly, we want to remind everyone of the best practices to combat the spread of germs:
• Hand Hygiene: Encourage frequent handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
• Stay Home When Sick: If your child is experiencing a fever, persistent cough, or other symptoms of illness, please keep them home until they are symptom-free for at least 24 hours without the use of medication.
• Respiratory Etiquette: Remind students to cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or their elbow.
By working together, we can maintain a healthy environment for learning.
Lundy celebrated another six weeks of great behavior by putting on skates and hitting the ice rink!
Thursday, February 5 & 6 are conference days at Lundy. There will be no school for Lundy Elementary students, but Lowell Jr/Sr High will have school as usual.
Due to the high incidence of illness at Lowell Jr/Sr High School this past week, Quarter 2 / Semester 1 will be extended through Tuesday, February 3. This extension is intended to provide additional time for students who have been absent due to illness to complete end-of-grading-period and cumulative assignments without being academically penalized. Quarter 3 / Semester 2 will begin on Wednesday, February 4. Report cards will be delayed slightly to allow teachers adequate time to finalize grades.
Please join us in congratulating our Red Devil's of the Week from last week for their outstanding contributions to our school:
Elijah Johnston, Ciaran Burch, Liam Burch, Eric Sotomayor, Warren Tuttle, Nate Waters, Colten Crutcher, and Connor Henderson.
With falling temperatures and higher heating costs, sometimes a little help is needed to cover those costs.
