Hello Lowell Families and Community,

As part of Read Across America Week, on Monday, Lundy will be celebrating Dr. Seuss! Teachers and students are highly encouraged to dress as their favorite character. The JR/SR High students will all be coming over to read with us.

Smokey Bear is coming to visit 1st and 4th grades again. We are so excited to host him every year.

Emerald Bookmarks are due today! If you forgot to bring yours please get it in by Monday. If you are not sure what your students' requirements are, please reach out to their teacher right away.

Lundy students will be coming home with a permission slip on Monday in regard to our next six-week celebration activity. Please check their backpacks!

The District will be conducting a Secure Drill on March 17, 2026, at 1:35pm to continue to help familiarize our staff and students with our safety protcols. A Secure Event is called when there is something dangerous outside of the building. Students and staff are brought into the building and the outside doors are locked. Inside the classrooms, it will be business as usual. You can find descriptions of the other safety drills on the flyer.

We had thirty students from Lowell High School attend a field trip to UO for a "Connections" event this week. The students had a general informational session followed by a campus tour. Then they received information on financial aid and scholarships. Our Red Devils had lunch in the Carson dining hall, and participated in a Q&A session with current UO students.

Red Devil's of the Week last week were: Quincy Cook, Jennaya Harris, Tucker Putnam, Remington Hoook, Alizet Perez, Chris Sheridan, Klynt Fought, and Tatum Seeley. Lowell Jr/Sr High Students of the Month were Kayelie Nagel and Addy Linn Brooks!

The state wrestling championship at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland began on Wednesday and continues through today. You can watch the matches on the NFHS Network.

Boys' basketball vs. Bandon tonight at 6:00pm at home in a 1st Round State Playoff game. The game will be streamed on the NFHS Network.
