Hello Lowell Families & Community,

One more week before students with perfect attendance get Cinnamon Rolls with Mrs. Edgerton! Congratulations to and thank you for your commitment and continued support of your student’s attendance.

Our next 6-week celebration is also right around the corner. Be sure to check with your student's teacher if you have any questions.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 7, 2026, for Jersey Mike's Fundraiser! Buy dinner, no dishes and proceeds will go to our help our Lundy students with activities, rewards and field trips. It’s a win all around! Fliers will be coming home with students next week.

Teacher appreciation week is right around the corner, and we always love to spoil our Lundy teachers. If you have anything you would like to donate (gift cards, treats, etc.), please reach out to Mrs. Edgerton for details!

For students in grades 3-6, state testing is next month. Please be sure to check in with your child about what their testing schedule will look like. Don't hesitate to reach out to your teacher with any questions you may have.

Junior High Band will be competing this Friday at Douglas High School. We wish them the best as they represent Lowell.

Middle School Agriculture Class Spotlight:

Some of our junior high students are discovering their green thumbs in Mr. Yarbrough’s Agriculture class. Students in 7th and 8th grade have been actively weeding, preparing garden beds, and planting seeds in both the greenhouse and outdoor spaces. So far, they’ve planted strawberries, watermelon, cucumber, broccoli, and beans, and are even exploring the possibility of raising chickens in the future. It’s been great to see students engaged in hands-on learning and taking pride in their work.

Ms. Latta's ecology class is also actively working in the garden, planting seedlings, and exploring the ecology of plant growth.

Lowell High School Prom is this Saturday at the Cottage Grove Armory. This year’s theme is “Night in the City,” and we’re looking forward to a great event for our students.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The best way to fight abuse is by preventing it. Check out this link for resources: Child Abuse Prevention Resources.

We still have an opening on our Lowell SD Budget Committee. Our annual meeting is on May Work alongside our dedicated board members to help guide and shape our school budget. Inquire at info@lowell.k12.or.us.

Stay safe, healthy, and kind!
