Hello Lowell Families & Community,
Mrs. Edgerton loved her time eating cinnamon rolls with the perfect attenders at Lundy! Last month there were forty-two perfect attenders and this month we had sixty perfect attenders! Way to go Lundy students! With twenty-nine days left of school, we can do it again next month!
Lundy's annual ABC Countdown starts on Wednesday, May 6. You should have received a copy of the calendar from your child this week. If not, feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher.
Jersey Mike's fundraiser is on Thursday, May 7. Stop by for a tasty meal any time between 4:00pm - 9:00pm and Lundy will receive part of the proceeds!
Teacher appreciation is next week, and we always love to spoil our Lundy teachers. If you have anything you would like to donate (gift cards, treats, etc.), please reach out to Mrs. Edgerton for details!
State testing began this week for 7th, 8th, and 11th grade students. Students started with English assessments, will move into math next week, followed by science the following week.
Choir will be competing in the State Championships next week at Oregon State University. We are excited for them to represent Lowell and showcase the hard work they have put in throughout the year. Good luck Red Devils!
The annual band and choir trip is scheduled for May 8–10. The group will be traveling to Idaho to perform as well as have a little fun! Students and staff are looking forward to this opportunity and experience.
Lowell Jr/Sr High School Red Devils of the Week were Grace Nunez-Luis, Ethan Evans, and Tayler Griffin. These students were recognized for demonstrating positive growth, leadership, and outstanding behavior.
Eight Spanish III students are going to The University of Oregon's 2026 Foreign Language & International Studies (FLIS) Day. This is an opportunity to experience other cultures as well as interact with international studies students from other schools around Oregon.
Students from Lowell will participate in a job fair held by North Douglas High School. Seven schools will participate in the event with over fifty-eight employers. Our Red Devils will have the chance to explore part-time, full-time and internship opportunities.
Summer is right around the corner, and the time is right to look for summer employment. Here are ideas and resources for teens:
