Hello Lowell Families & Community,
The Lowell School Board approved 2026-2027 school calendars that move the students to a four-day week. This will allow more continuity for students. This is a one-year trial with the board and superintendent evaluating the change before making decisions for the 2027-2028 school year.
Spring has sprung! Check the lost and found often for jackets that get discarded and forgotten when the sun starts shining!
The Lundy Bookfair is happening May 13 and 14, from 3:00 to 6:00pm. Books are buy one, get one free!
The next perfect attendance event with Mrs. Edgerton is May 29. She will have donuts for all of the perfect attenders!
Registration is now open for the 2026–2027 school year. Families can visit the school website for more information and to complete the registration process.
Lowell Jr/Sr High has two career-related field trips scheduled for next week. Students will be visiting North Douglas on May 14, for an opportunity to network with companies. There will be opportunities to secure internships, employment or knowledge about possible career paths. They will also be attending a Career Expo at Lane Community College (LCC) on May 15.
Progress reports will be issued next Wednesday. We encourage families to review grades with their students and connect with teachers as needed. This is the halfway point in the fourth quarter.
The seniors at Lowell have officially completed their first week of senior project presentations, showcasing truly outstanding work. Beyond their academic achievements, the joy of their final days is in full swing; "Senior Spotlights" are appearing across social media to celebrate their individual journeys, plans for the senior trip are being finalized, and the highly anticipated "Senior Assassin" water fight challenge is set to begin this coming Monday, May 11.
