The first week of the 2026–2027 school year has been amazing! Don’t forget that we now have a four‑day school week. There is no school on Friday, September 4. In observance of Labor Day, there will also be no school on Monday, September 7, and the four‑day week will run Tuesday through Friday.
It was a breath of fresh air having Lundy students back in the building. While classes focused on reviewing expectations and routines, students also began digging into reading, math, and everything in between.
Throughout the year, Lundy parents will continue to receive updates on six‑week celebrations, perfect attendance winners, assemblies, and classroom specific information. Please check your email regularly so you don’t miss important information!
Lowell Jr/Sr High is excited to welcome students and families back for the 2026–27 school year. It is wonderful to have students in the building, reconnecting with friends and staff. A special welcome goes out to our incoming 7th graders and all students new to Lowell this year.
We want to emphasize the importance of attendance. Every minute counts. Being at school, on time and ready to learn, makes a difference. We also want students to recognize that they are an important part of our school community and that showing up each day helps all of us start the year strongly.
We kicked off the first day with an all‑school assembly focused on cooperation, building connections, and encouraging students to mingle and interact across grade levels. It was a positive way to begin the year and reinforce that we are one school community.
Red Devil athletics are back! Football opened the season with a jamboree at Monroe last week and will travel to Regis this Friday. Volleyball had a busy week with a win at home against Country Christian on Tuesday followed by a trip to Oakland on Thursday. We are excited to see our student‑athletes back in competition and encourage the Red Devil community to come out and support them throughout the season.
We will host a Financial Aid Night for seniors and their families on Wednesday, September 16, in the Lowell Jr/Sr High School Library. This event will provide families with helpful information as seniors begin planning for their options after graduation.
Families who have requested transportation services, please check your email and activate your Stopfinder account. Activating your account ensures you receive important transportation updates and notifications. If you have difficulty activating your account or navigating the app, please contact the Transportation Office—we are happy to assist.
We are proud to be a dog‑friendly community and appreciate dog owners who recreate on district properties with their furry companions. To help keep our grounds clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone, we kindly ask that pet owners clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste in designated receptacles. Thank you for helping keep our campuses welcoming for all.
Looking for a way to empower your youth with disabilities to manage their money? This six session virtual training series helps youth and young adults with disabilities and their families learn how to manage money and make smart choices.
