Dear Lowell Families and Community,

Lundy and Lowell Jr/Sr High celebrated National Ice Cream Cone Day on Tuesday. Every student and staff member was invited to have a cone filled with vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream or the ever-popular twist! It was a big hit with the little kids, the big kids, and the adults!

Only a few more days until Lundy students with perfect attendance get donuts with Mrs. Edgerton! Thank you for starting out the school year with such great attendance.

Please be sure to check the lost and found. With the fluctuating weather, there are many jackets and sweatshirts left behind.

Lowell Jr/Sr High is quickly approaching the midpoint of the first quarter. This is a great time for families to check ParentVUE and review current grades, missing assignments, and student progress. If you have questions or need help accessing ParentVUE, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.

It was a very busy week for Lowell athletics, with students traveling and competing every day of the week. We want to recognize all our student-athletes who work hard to balance practices, competitions, travel, and academic responsibilities. We appreciate the commitment they are showing both in the classroom and in sports.

Next week is Spirit Week at LHS culminating with the Homecoming Dance on Friday, October 2, where the theme is Y2K Glow. Dress up days for the week are:

Monday – Pajama Day

Tuesday – Twin Tuesday

Wednesday – Anything but a Backpack Day

Thursday – White Lie Day

Now that we are back in the swing of the school year, many families are feeling the challenge of navigating this hectic time. Here are some tips for juggling the back-to school season: Tips for back-to-school season.

October 3, from 10:00am-2:00pm, is Fire Safety Saturday at Jerry’s Home Improvement. It is a free event for everyone. Kids will learn important fire safety information that will help prevent fires and save lives.

And as always, stay safe, healthy and kind!
