Middle School Students Attend Live Performance of Literary Classic

After finishing Harper Lee’s novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, the seventh and eighth grade classes attended the Very Little Theater in Eugene, where they saw a live production of the literary classic. Students enjoyed an engaging performance, which offered an enhanced understanding of the plot, characters, and the real life themes of the book. After the show, students participated in a group conversation with the actors and director of the play. Students discussed a variety of topics, ranging from acting techniques and performance art, to civil rights and the roots of racial injustice.
