Tykara has been in the Lowell School District for 13 years, and she is our Senior in the Spotlight! As a long-term band student her best memories at Lowell was winning state both her freshmen and her junior years. She could make her saxophone “moan.” These wins could explain why her favorite teacher was Mr. Burch because as band instructor, he always, “pushed me and the band to be the best we could be.” Her advice to future students is “Don’t procrastinate!” Her plans after graduation is work to save money for college, so that she can realize her career goal: to become a counselor.
