Senior Spotlight: Joshua Walker
Joshua Walker has been a dedicated student-athlete within the Lowell School District for the past eight years. Throughout his high school career, Joshua has been a constant presence in the athletic department, competing in Football, Wrestling, Cross-country, and Track. He looks back on his time at Lowell with pride, noting that his favorite memory is the consistent opportunity he had to challenge himself physically and mentally across every sport he played.
In the classroom, Joshua found a passion for academics thanks to the influence of Mr. Farrier, who sparked a genuine love for learning math. While he moves on to his next chapter, Joshua admits he will most miss the time spent reading books in English class with Ms. Miller. Though he says too many funny things happened in high school to pick just one, he leaves behind a legacy of hard work and a bit of humor. For the students coming up behind him, Joshua offers the sage advice to study hard and put real effort into your work, ensuring that your daily actions align with your long-term goals.
Joshua’s future is defined by a strong desire to serve. Over the next three to five years, he plans to serve in the United States Marines. Looking further ahead, his career aspirations lie in law enforcement, where he hopes to work in the field rather than behind a desk. Beyond his professional goals, Joshua’s greatest personal aspiration is to become a father. As he prepares to graduate, he wants to give a special shout-out to Hank. Best of luck to you Joshua!
