Senior Spotlight: Ashley Jenks

From kindergarten to senior, Ashley Jenks has spent her entire educational career at Lowell. She is our Senior Spotlight! Her best memories was winning second place in choir and being one of the sophomore Homecoming Princesses. She regrets not being able to get first in choir this year, but she doesn’t regret her association with Mr. Burch. She has known him for 12 years and describes him as being like a father to her. He pushed the choir to be their best and helped with their problems, and inspired her so much. Her funniest event in high school was when Zac her brother and Timmy were left on Alcatraz during a choir trip! She will really miss Mr. Burch (and the Burch clan), her choir family, Ms. Cassie, Ms. Sawitzke, Ms. Cindy, Mrs. B (and Lizzie), and all her friends and classmates. In addition to choir, Ashley enjoyed drama, robotics, and Girl Scouts. Her advice to future students is” don’t act like you’re too cool for school or that you hate it. It will be over before you know it.” She’s leaning towards psychology, advertising, or physiology for her major at the U of O. Special shout outs to her friends, fellow graduates, younger students in choir or drama and all teachers and staff, for I wouldn’t be where I am today if not for you guys. Remember, “Life’s what you make it, so let’s make it rock!”
